Permanent School Registered Nurse (RN)

Horizon Healthcare Staffing currently has an opening for a Permanent Registered Nurse (RN) to work as a secondary nurse, assisting the primary nurse the school health office. This position will be working directly for a day school in Bergen County, NJ!

Grade Level: Pre-K – 8th Grade

Students: 400

School Year: Starts August 1st and ends mid- June

Schedule: 3-4 days/week (You choose which days)

Hours: Monday -Thursday 7:45a-4:00p | Fridays 7:45a-3:00p

Rate: $40/hr

A day in the life of a School Nurse includes:

• To provide assessment, screening, planning, evaluation, and counseling concerning the health and medical care needs of students
• Works collaboratively with students’ parents, school district staff to ensure access and continuity of care for students.
• Conducts school programs of immunization, physical examinations, and sight and hearing testing.
• Performs nursing assessment for students who are ill or injured.
• Evaluates nursing care provided and changes plan of care as necessary.

You'll be a perfect fit for this position if you:

• Have one year of professional experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Possess an active CPR card.
• Possess an NJ Nursing License
• School Nursing experience preferred
